About Green Plains Design

Out on the High Plains, the wind arrives before anything else in White Deer, rolling over the wheat fields of Carson County and humming past the grain elevator that towers over the town. Green Plains Design does lawn care in this small Panhandle town whose very name is a white deer. Under a sky that seems to have no far edge, a green lawn is a kind of statement: mowed even, trimmed close along fence posts and foundations, and cleared of whatever the last windstorm blew in. In the late afternoon, when the sun drops low and gold across the flat land, those yards shine like small oases against the open country. Out here a lawn is earned, and it shows.
