About GreenScape Outdoors

Waxahachie wears its history out front. The pink-granite and red-sandstone Ellis County Courthouse rises over the square like a wedding cake, and the streets around it are lined with the gingerbread Victorians that cotton money built when the county's gins ran day and night. GreenScape Outdoors keeps the lawns and yards that frame those houses, and those on the newer streets reaching out toward the prairie. In this Blackland country the soil is dark and the summers are long, so a lawn that gets its due grows thick and fast. Picture a wraparound porch with new-mown grass rolling down to the sidewalk on a soft spring evening: that is the Gingerbread City in full dress.
