Texas Sprinkler Works

About Texas Sprinkler Works

Late winter in San Antonio smells like grape soda: the Texas mountain laurels flower purple in front yards while the rest of the lawn is still deciding whether to wake. That is when Texas Sprinkler Works turns its attention to the city's sprinkler systems, running each zone and watching where the spray lands and where it misses. Up where the Balcones Escarpment lifts the north side into limestone hills, and down on the flatter blocks below, every yard drinks differently, and a system set right knows the difference. By the time bluebonnets crowd the highway shoulders, heads pop up on cue, arcs fall on turf instead of sidewalk, and the grass greens from the ground up. It is a small, satisfying kind of order, water going where it is meant to before the long summer asks for every drop.
