About Gratr Landscapes

San Antonio once looked at a worn-out limestone quarry and saw a garden. Today the Japanese Tea Garden fills that old pit with koi ponds, stone footbridges and a waterfall spilling down the cut rock walls, the city's own lesson in starting with what the ground gives and making something gentle of it. Gratr Landscapes approaches landscaping and lawn care in that spirit, working with the caliche, the stone and the stubborn sun that every yard here contends with. A November morning shows the idea off, when the light turns soft, the bald cypress needles begin to rust and the heat has finally let go. Lawn mown, beds shaped, stone and green settled together, and any yard can become a small sunken garden of its own.
