About Davey Resource Group

After the great flood of 1921, San Antonio built Olmos Dam and kept the broad basin behind it open and green, so that stormwater would have room to spread. It is a fitting picture of a city that treats its green ground as a shared resource: ballfields, oak mottes and grass that also soak up storms and cool the streets. Davey Resource Group's lawn care and grounds maintenance belong to that idea. On a gray, drizzly winter afternoon, when the basin goes soft and the trails empty out, the turf is resting, and the upkeep it gets now shapes how it greets the spring. Green that is looked after this way keeps on working long after anyone stops to notice it.
