Thompson's Landscaping & Lawn

About Thompson's Landscaping & Lawn

By November the pines around Magnolia start letting go of their old needles, and they drift onto lawns, roofs and driveways in long rust-colored sweeps. Thompson's Landscaping & Lawn spends the cooler months turning that drift back into order. A gray winter afternoon suits the task: the grass has slowed, the air is crisp for once, and a raked and blown-clean yard looks newly opened to the sky. Mowing keeps things level until dormancy sets in, and the edge along the walk stays sharp enough to show where lawn ends and path begins. Come spring, the yard can green up without a winter's clutter holding it back.
