Tom's Tree Place

About Tom's Tree Place

The High Plains came nearly treeless, so almost every shade tree in Lubbock grows where someone once decided it should. Tom's Tree Place looks after the lawns that spread beneath them, where grass shares light and water with roots that wander wide. Late winter here can swing from a blue norther to shirt-sleeve sunshine in one day, and the grass waits for April before trusting the warmth. When it finally greens, the first clean mow under those branches feels like opening a window after a long stretch indoors. Edges go back in, trimming circles each trunk, and the yard steps out of winter looking loved.
