Acme Exteriors

About Acme Exteriors

At noon on the Llano Estacado there is hardly a shadow to stand in, and the sky over Lubbock seems to begin right at the curb. Acme Exteriors does its lawn work in that bright, unblinking light, where a crooked mowing line has nowhere to hide. Passes run long and straight across the grass, edges come back square along the sidewalk, and clippings are blown off the drive before the job is called done. Out past Loop 289 the cotton country runs flat to the horizon; inside the loop, a yard cared for this way stands out like a fresh-pressed shirt. It is an exact kind of beauty, made for a land that hides nothing.
