JH Plantscapes

About JH Plantscapes

A dark ribbon of bats pours out from under the Waugh Drive bridge over Buffalo Bayou at September dusk, hundreds of thousands of them fanning across the city sky to hunt. Below that flight path, Houston's gardens are deep in their late-summer fullness, a subtropical mix where palms, gingers and magnolias can share a single fence line. JH Plantscapes works with plantings across Houston, shaping and tending the green layers that make a yard feel lush instead of merely mowed. In a climate this generous a planting grows fast, and the art lies in arranging it so every leaf has room and every corner has a reason. When the bats come home before dawn, the beds are still standing in their tidy, overflowing order.
