Turf Layers

About Turf Layers

Out at Fields Ranch, where the PGA of America has made its home in Frisco, the fairways roll across former ranchland as smooth as felt on a billiard table. Most Frisco yards start out far rougher: a new house, a graded lot, a square of bare dirt baking under a July sun. Turf Layers lays turf and provides lawn care across Frisco, and the change can come in a single day, with pallets set down in the morning, rolls fitted seam to seam, and a finished yard by late afternoon. A lawn laid tight is a point of pride, its joints fading as the roots grab hold and the grass knits itself into one surface. Watering it in at sunset, with the new green glowing and the street lights flickering on, is a fine way to spend a first evening in a new home.
