About SMC Landcare

Frisco took its name from a railroad, the St. Louis-San Francisco line nicknamed the Frisco, whose tracks gave the town its very start. Along the old Main Street, brick storefronts still recall those depot days, even as the city around them has grown at a breathtaking pace. SMC Landcare looks after lawns and land in Frisco, from the first warm weeks of spring through the long mowing months of summer. Mornings are the gentle part of the day here: the prairie breeze not yet hot, dew beading on the grass, a yard cut and tidied before school traffic starts to build. Whatever Frisco becomes next, its lawns are where the town's prairie roots still show.
