About Strong Roots LLC

Beneath Forney lies some of the darkest ground in Texas: Blackland Prairie clay, once tallgrass country, rich enough to grow almost anything and heavy enough to turn to glue after a rain and to brick in a dry spell. Strong Roots LLC works that soil for Forney yards, with landscaping and planting that have to hold on through both moods. Autumn is when the name makes the most sense; the heat breaks, the ground stays warm, and whatever goes into the beds has all winter to send roots down. The proof comes the next August, when a shrub that anchored itself early shrugs off a hundred-degree afternoon. Out on the old prairie, what grows deep stays.
