Trees Hurt Too

About Trees Hurt Too

Forest Hill is a small city tucked against Fort Worth's southeast side, and its name makes a promise about trees. Here, North Texas spring storms come fast, with hail, straight-line wind and a sky gone green at four in the afternoon, and when they pass it is the big shade trees that carry the damage. Trees Hurt Too takes its own name to heart: a torn limb is treated like the wound it is, cut back clean so the tree can seal it off and keep growing. Pruning in calmer weather thins and shapes the crown so the next storm has less to grab. A street of sound, well-kept trees is how Forest Hill keeps its word.
