About Turf Group

On a warm Sunday at Zilker Park, the big open lawn below the downtown skyline fills with blankets, frisbees and dogs, and every Austinite learns what sturdy grass can take. Home lawns across the city lean on a handful of warm-season grasses, St. Augustine where the oaks throw shade, Bermuda in full sun, zoysia and buffalograss each with their own fans, and each grows its own way. Turf Group keeps residential grass mowed to a consistent height, edged along drives and trimmed at the fences, with clippings swept off the concrete afterward. The aim is a yard that can host its own Zilker afternoon: soft underfoot, uniform from corner to corner, ready for whoever wants to stretch out. Grass that good to sit on makes a house feel like home turf in every sense.
