Oasis Gardens Landscape and Design

About Oasis Gardens Landscape and Design

At two on a July afternoon, half of Austin seems to be floating in Barton Springs, where the spring-fed water stays cool no matter what the thermometer says. Oasis Gardens Landscape and Design carries a little of that relief back up the hill to the front yard: grass mowed to an even nap, walks and drives trimmed free of creeping runners, and the clippings blown off the pavement before they bake there. Austin's St. Augustine and Bermuda lawns have to hold their green under weeks of hundred-degree light, and a yard that still looks cool while the street around it shimmers is something to be proud of. Come evening, when the live oak shadows stretch long across the cut grass, the whole lot reads like an oasis in the old sense of the word: green kept on purpose in a hot, bright land.
