Lions Municipal Golf Course, the west Austin course everyone calls Muny, has been rolling out fairways since the 1920s and is remembered as one of the first public courses in the South to open its tees to Black golfers. On a still spring evening there, a putt makes the oldest sound in the game: a soft click, the hush of a ball running over close-cut grass, the drop. Legacy Turf and Greens chases that same smooth, true roll across Austin through its turf and greens work, alongside lawn care. What matters is a surface that holds its line and reads honestly from every side. In this town, even the grass has a little history in it.
