About GardenGOAT

Austin gardeners know something the rest of the country rarely guesses: this city gets two springs, and the second begins while summer is still roaring. In late summer, with cicadas droning in the hackberries, it is time to set out fall tomatoes, sow greens and ready the beds for the gentle months ahead. GardenGOAT takes care of gardens and lawns in Austin, and the cool hour after sunrise is when such work feels like a gift. Beds cleared and refreshed, paths swept, grass trimmed back from the border — an order that lets a garden get on with growing. By November, those beds are lush with leaf and the city's mildest season is in full swing.
