About Granulawn

North of Aubrey, Lake Ray Roberts stretches wide and blue, and on a July afternoon the drone of boat motors drifts across the water toward town. Aubrey itself is changing quickly, with fresh streets and young lawns spreading over fields along US 377 that until recently were open pasture. New turf under the Denton County sun needs steady attention to fill in and thicken, and settled lawns need it to stay that way. Granulawn tends Aubrey lawns with that kind of attention, aiming for grass that grows dense, even and deep green. The name itself has a nice texture, like the grit of soil rubbed between your fingers. Come Saturday, a thick lawn under bare feet is about as close to the heart of a small Texas town as a yard can get.
