Newleaf Horticulture

About Newleaf Horticulture

The Little Manatee River bends through Wimauma under cypress and oak, dark and slow, a wild ribbon running through southern Hillsborough County. Around it the farm fields stretch out in long rows, and in the cool months this country turns busy with harvest. Newleaf Horticulture tends lawns and the plants around them in Wimauma, the kind of work its name points to. A new leaf unfurling on a shrub in January, while much of the country is frozen, is an ordinary Florida miracle here. Cared for through the dry spring, a Wimauma yard is set to meet June's first downpours in full leaf.
