On Sarasota's bayfront, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens grows orchids and bromeliads in the crooks of old trees — living proof of how much this corner of Southwest Florida will grow when someone pays attention. Botanical Solutions SW FL LLC brings a plant-minded approach to the city's home landscapes, treating a yard as a living collection rather than a patch to be mowed and forgotten. January suits that kind of care: the air turns dry and clear, the light slants low, and shrubs and beds can be shaped and refreshed before the long growing season returns. The work takes in the lawn and everything around it — trimming, bed upkeep, replacing what has faded, keeping tropical plantings in proportion with the house. What remains is a garden that looks considered, every leaf where it ought to be.
