Landscaping Sod & Beyond

About Landscaping Sod & Beyond

Ocala is horse country, and anyone who has driven past the board-fenced pastures northwest of town knows the look of a sweep of green kept right — rolling, unbroken, running to the horizon. Landscaping Sod & Beyond brings a share of that to the home lot, laying fresh sod and shaping the landscaping around it. Late spring is a fine season for it, when this year's foals are growing leggy in the paddocks and warm soil is eager to take new roots. Sod goes down in tight rows with no gaps for weeds to find, and beds are cut and planted to frame the grass rather than fight it. The goal is simple and deeply satisfying: a yard that seems to belong to the same landscape as those celebrated fields.
