Oldcastle Lawn & Garden

About Oldcastle Lawn & Garden

Polk County grew up on oranges, and in late February the scent of citrus blossom still drifts through Lakeland from backyard trees and the groves that remain in the county. Oldcastle Lawn & Garden is busy in that sweet, short season and through the months that follow, keeping lawns and garden edges tidy as the grass wakes from its winter rest. The first mowings of spring set the tone for months, and they get full attention: an even height, clean lines, beds cleared of winter's litter. When the wet season comes and the grass surges, the routine is already in place. A yard looked after this way smells of cut grass and blossom, which is about as Lakeland as it gets.
