About Custom Earthworks Design

Southwest Florida is flat enough that every inch of grade decides where the rain goes, and Fort Myers relearns that each June when the wet season opens. Out at the Six Mile Cypress Slough, water drifts through bald cypress at its own unhurried pace; in a residential yard it needs a little more guidance. Custom Earthworks Design shapes the ground itself — contours, beds and planting plans drawn to suit a particular lot — so lawn and landscape sit right with the water and the light. Design that starts with the earth gives a yard its bones: a gentle swale here, a raised bed there, turf that drains instead of puddling. The finished result looks like the land simply settled that way.
