Sustainscape

About Sustainscape

On summer nights along Boca Raton's beaches, sea turtles haul themselves out of the Atlantic to nest in the dunes, while just across the road the hammock at Gumbo Limbo Nature Center rustles with sea grape and its namesake red-barked trees. It is a wild, salt-touched Florida that still survives at the edge of the city. Sustainscape lets that coast inform its work in Boca Raton yards, caring for lawns and landscapes mindful of what this sandy ground and fierce sun can carry. Mowing, pruning and thoughtful bed work keep each yard in balance with the heat and the summer storms. By moonlight, such a garden looks less like a project and more like part of the coast.
