Stumpers

About Stumpers

When a nor'easter pushes inland off Long Island Sound, Trumbull's neighborhoods (Tashua, Long Hill, Nichols) take the snow in deep, heavy coats. Stumpers digs them out, opening driveways and walks so the drive to the Merritt Parkway starts on bare pavement. In the green months the work turns to lawns: cutting, trimming and squaring off every edge until a yard looks sharp from the street. A Trumbull property kept like this shows it in the details, the grass clipped close around the mailbox, the winter path scraped right down to the pavers. Stumpers stays on it, storm after storm and mow after mow.
