Automatic Rain Inc

About Automatic Rain Inc

When a July heat wave parks over the Housatonic valley, the swimming beach at Indian Well State Park fills by noon and Shelton's lawns start to go thirsty. Automatic Rain Inc answers the way its name suggests, with lawn irrigation that brings the rain when the sky won't. Shelton's yards run from the flats along the riverwalk downtown to high lots on the hills above, and each one dries out at its own pace. An irrigation system that waters in the cool hours gives grass a steady drink through the hottest stretch of summer. A lawn still soft and green underfoot in mid-July, with the river low and the air heavy, is the result worth having.
