Heritage Landscapes Preservation

About Heritage Landscapes Preservation

Around the Norwalk Green, steeples and old clapboard houses stand where the town's center took root long ago, and their yards wear that age in every stone step and tree line. Heritage Landscapes Preservation, as its name says, is about keeping what is already good in a landscape rather than scraping it away. Its lawn care is meant to frame an old facade, respect the outline of older beds and let a property's character come forward. Late on a May afternoon, with long shadows lying across newly mown grass on the Green, you can see the effect this work is after. It is Norwalk's past, kept green and kept well.
