S & R Landscape Construction

About S & R Landscape Construction

High summer at noon in the village of Stepney, and the heat comes up off Route 25 in waves while cicadas drone in the trees. S & R Landscape Construction takes on the heavier side of a Monroe yard: building it, grading it, and bringing in the soil and stone a level lawn depends on. This is a hilly town laid over glacial rock, and a flat patch of grass here is usually something somebody built. Once the ground is shaped, lawn care follows, with mowing, edging, trimming and cleanup so the new work settles in green. There is a particular satisfaction in a backyard that used to slope toward the woods and now holds still for a picnic table.
