Gregory Landscapes

About Gregory Landscapes

Late on an October afternoon, the Housatonic slides past the foot of Webb Mountain on Monroe's eastern edge, and the ridge above it burns orange and red. That is leaf season in earnest, and Gregory Landscapes spends it clearing lawns and beds across Monroe before the oaks have finished letting go. Fall cleanup is the heart of it: leaves gathered and hauled off, borders raked out, perennials cut back, and a final mow to put the lawn to bed. Then spring arrives and it all begins again with cleanup, edging and the season's first cut. In a wooded town like this, the reward is the moment the last leaf pile is gone and the grass shows green again under a low gold sun.
