About Lance-Scaping Inc.

Before dawn on a January morning in Haddam, the hemlocks of Cockaponset State Forest hold the new snow and the roads through Higganum lie quiet and white. Lance-Scaping Inc. works both halves of the year in this river-and-forest town: lawn care while the Connecticut valley runs green, snow removal once winter closes in. In the cold months that means driveways and walks cleared early, so the first car out rolls onto clean pavement and the front step is clear to cross. In summer it means lawns cut evenly and trimmed along the stone walls that wander through town. Whatever the month, Lance-Scaping Inc. aims to have the work finished before Haddam is up and moving.
