About Sharon Hine Landscapes

At low tide the Farm River marsh breathes out a smell of salt and cedar that drifts into the side streets of East Haven, and Sharon Hine Landscapes does its mowing in that air. Lawns here sit close to Long Island Sound, from cottages near Cosey Beach to the houses along the river's bend, and the onshore wind dries them out at the margins faster than anyone expects. The answer is patient lawn care: grass kept level and full, its outline cut clean against walk and drive. When the sea fog lifts off Momauguin by mid-morning, the job is done and the turf gleams. Coming home to a yard that seems to belong beside the water never gets old.
