Randall Moore Landscapes

About Randall Moore Landscapes

There are autumn days in Ventura, just after the Santa Anas blow through, when the Channel Islands look close enough to row to and the hills seem cut from fresh paper. Randall Moore Landscapes works in that sharp, dry light, shaping and caring for landscapes and lawns in a town strung between the ocean and the ridges. From the cross in Grant Park, roofs and gardens step down toward the sea, each one telling how it has been looked after. When the wind dies and the coastal gray creeps back, a yard trimmed and swept clean of the gusts' debris is a good sight to wake to.
