Junior's Snow Removal & Excavation

About Junior's Snow Removal & Excavation

Before first light on a storm morning in Tahoe City, the berms along Highway 89 stand shoulder high and the lake below is the color of cold slate. Junior's Snow Removal & Excavation says its trade right in its name, moving the north shore's heavy Sierra snow out of the way so the day can begin. Down at the dam, the Truckee slips dark and quick out of the lake beneath Fanny Bridge while cleared ground opens up one stretch at a time. When the snowbanks finally retreat and Commons Beach greens again, the work turns to lawn care for the brief mountain summer.
