About Tamura Designs

San Jose's Eichler neighborhoods were built around a simple idea: walls of glass, open atriums, and a house that looks out at its garden as much as at the street. Tamura Designs brings a designer's sense of line to lawns and yards across San Jose, where so often the view through the glass is the whole point. On a gray March afternoon after rain, when the grass is newly flush and the light falls soft and even, a well-composed yard looks like a painting hung on the far side of the room. A curve of lawn against a bed, a clean break at a path, a stretch of green that leads the eye out and then back home. It is design you live alongside every single day.
