In July, while inland California bakes, fog spills through the Golden Gate in the late afternoon and wraps the west side of San Francisco in cool, wet gray. RareField Design Build designs, builds and cares for lawns and landscapes in a city where summer can feel like November, and where the salt wind off Ocean Beach tests every blade near the Great Highway. Planning a yard here means planning for mist rather than sunshine; keeping one means holding turf even and green under skies that may not clear for days. There is real pride in a lawn that keeps its color through a foggy summer. Step out after the mist lifts and the grass is strung with droplets, every edge still sharp.
