About Bauman Landscape & Construction

September is San Francisco's true summer, and on the steep slopes of Bernal Heights the first warm light arrives early and lingers into the afternoon. Bauman Landscape & Construction builds and tends lawns and yards in a city where the ground rarely lies flat: backyards stepped down hillsides, strips of grass wedged between a stairway and a fence. On a tilted lot, a level, even cut is its own small victory. Finished, the grass reads neat from the kitchen window above and from the sidewalk below. It is the kind of yard that makes a steep city feel like solid ground.
