Old Towne Orange is a neighborhood you can walk for an hour without leaving the early twentieth century, block after block of Craftsman bungalows with deep porches and tapered columns. Ramco Construction takes on lawn care on these streets, where a front yard can be part of a historic streetscape, seen from porches, sidewalks and every passing stroller. In the afternoon the light slants low through the leaves and settles on the Plaza, where people linger over coffee and the antique shops prop their doors open. Close cutting and edging keep these small, much-admired lawns crisp against old concrete walks and brick borders. Done well, the work disappears into the scene: just a green rectangle in front of a century-old house, looking exactly as it should.
