About Hardscapes

Mill Valley lives in the shadow of Mount Tamalpais, where redwoods crowd the creek canyons, the Dipsea Stairs climb out of town, and afternoon fog pours over the ridge from the Pacific like slow water. Lawns here grow in cool, filtered light, often sharing ground with ferns under towering trunks. Hardscapes takes on lawn care for Mill Valley homes, mowing, trimming and raking away the needles and duff that drift down from the canopy. A neat lawn tucked into a wooded hillside lot feels like a clearing in the forest, a bright, deliberate pause among all that green. It is the kind of yard that rewards anyone walking home along a winding lane as the fog comes in.
