Live on the Lawn Chico

About Live on the Lawn Chico

On a warm evening in downtown Chico, the City Plaza fills with kids racing through the fountain and neighbors spreading blankets on the grass while the Senator Theatre's tower glows a block away. Live on the Lawn Chico carries a name that says plainly what grass is for: not just looking at, but living on. The work behind it is simple and satisfying, keeping the grass short and even, trimming the edges, keeping the yard tidy enough for bare feet and folding chairs. In a college town where so much of life spills outdoors from April through October, a well-kept lawn becomes an extra room of the house. When the sun slips behind the Coast Range across the valley, it is the place to be.
