About Tractor Guys Inc

Tractor Guys runs the same equipment through winter that Washakie County's beet and alfalfa growers use all summer, trading cultivators for blades once the fields go to stubble. After a storm, the crew works the long farm roads that connect Worland to the fields north and south of town, clearing a path wide enough for the equipment that will need to move again come spring. Snow blowing off the open stubble fields tends to drift hardest where a farm road meets the highway, and that intersection gets worked first on every route. In town, the same tractors clear driveways and short residential streets too small for a full-size truck to maneuver comfortably. The basin's fields lie bare and white most of the winter, waiting on the same machines that will plant them again once the ground opens up.
