Jerry's Lawn Care

About Jerry's Lawn Care

Late in the day the Bighorns off to the east go rose-colored for a few minutes, and every yard in Worland picks up that low, forgiving light. Jerry's Lawn Care likes to finish in that hour — mower shut down, trimmer cooling on the tailgate, the last raked pile carried out of the corner by the shed. Mowing, trimming, edging and cleanup are the whole of the job, done at whatever pace the wind coming down the basin will allow. The line where turf meets gravel gets cut clean, so a place reads as cared for even from the far side of the street. Come dusk the grass is even, the walks are clear, and the yard is quiet again, which is exactly the point.
