About WindRiver Weed & PopoAgie Pest

WindRiver Weed & PopoAgie Pest works the low ground along the river bottoms in the warmer months, and in winter it is the same cottonwood-lined lanes near St. Stephens and Ethete that get plowed first. The Wind River Range holds the last daylight on its peaks to the southwest long after the valley floor has gone gray, and the crew often finishes its route by that fading light rather than full dark. Snow piles deep in the river bottoms, where the cottonwoods break the wind enough to let it collect instead of blow on through, so driveways down near the water need clearing more often than the open flats above them. The truck works its way from the riverside lanes up toward the higher ground near the mission and the community center, clearing a path before the morning's first errands. Down where the Wind River and the Popo Agie country meet, a plowed lane through the cottonwoods is often the only clean line left after a storm.
