About Bear Mountain Contracting, LLC

Bear Mountain Contracting runs its plows out before first light, when the eastern sky is still a gray shape overhead and the wind off the Laramie Range has already piled drifts across the ranch lanes north of town. The crew works the gravel roads and long driveways that string out from Wheatland into Platte County's open country, where a single gust can undo an hour's work in minutes. Blades cut clean lines through wind-packed snow on the plains, then turn back for the county roads before the first pickups head out to check cattle. Winters here are built around wind as much as snow, and Bear Mountain Contracting keeps the lanes into ranch yards and rural driveways passable through both. By the time the sun clears the horizon, the roads out toward Glendo and Chugwater carry fresh plow marks instead of drift.
