About Woods Excavation LLC

Up in the draws toward Medicine Lodge, where ponderosa pines cling to canyon walls the color of dried clay against fresh snow, Woods Excavation LLC keeps a handful of remote driveways passable through the winter months. A homestead lane out here might run two miles from the county road before it ever reaches a house, climbing through a pine draw where drifts build waist-deep in the lee of every rock outcrop. The excavator turned plow works that lane in long, patient passes, clearing enough width for a stock trailer to pass without catching a berm. Down where the draw opens onto flatter range, the same crew clears a ranch yard so feed trucks can reach the corrals before the cattle start bawling for breakfast. This is isolated country south of the main Bighorns, and Woods Excavation LLC is often the only outfit a place like this can call when the canyon closes in with snow.
