Deep Sweep, Inc.

About Deep Sweep, Inc.

On the coldest Saratoga mornings, steam rises off the free hot pool by the North Platte River even as everything around it sits frozen, and it's in that same still, steaming air that Deep Sweep, Inc. starts its winter routes, clearing driveways and walkways while most of town is still asleep. The valley holds cold differently than the open plains to the north, a heavy, unmoving kind of cold that lets frost build thick on anything left uncleared overnight. Getting a walkway swept down to bare concrete before that frost bonds to the surface saves a homeowner from chipping at solid ice later in the day. Working in that quiet, steam-and-frost morning light, breath visible, the river running open and dark against all the white, has its own plain appeal, storm after storm. By the time Saratoga's few downtown blocks start stirring, the routes are finished and the walks are clear.
