Green comes late to this altitude. Somewhere in the back half of May the brown finally breaks, the lawns between here and Green River turn nearly all at once, and the mowing season opens in a rush. Greener Days Landscaping runs that short calendar hard — regular cuts, trimmed borders, and cleanups at both ends of the year, when a yard is waking up and when it is putting itself away. There is a real pleasure in the first cut of a season: the smell of it, the stripes appearing where a week ago there was only dormant grass. In Rock Springs North the green days are counted, and they are worth keeping well.
