Restoration Wranglers

About Restoration Wranglers

As the light goes gold and then gray over the hay meadows south of Pinedale, Restoration Wranglers is often still out, working ranch lanes and long driveways where the drifts pile deepest against the fence lines. Out past town the wind has room to run, and a single storm can bury a quarter-mile of gravel road in waist-high snow by dusk. The crew treats every ranch access like its own project, clearing a path wide enough for a feed truck and packing it down so it holds through the next freeze. Leaving a place passable with the temperature dropping fast and the sky gone the color of a bruise to the west is what the job is really about. By full dark, headlights sweep back toward Pinedale over roads that, an hour before, nothing could have driven.
