Snowy Range Scapes

About Snowy Range Scapes

Late in a Laramie summer evening the light stretches out flat across town, and the plantings that look best in it are the ones that never asked for much water — blue grama gone bronze, yarrow, low junipers holding against gravel. Snowy Range Scapes designs and plants that way on purpose, matching yards to a place where the growing season is measured in weeks and the hose can only do so much. Gravel beds and drought-tolerant borders go in alongside conventional lawn areas, mowed and trimmed on a regular round. Cleanups bracket the year, opening the yard in spring and closing it in fall. The result is a landscape that looks intentional in every month, not just the green ones.
