About Precision Dirt Works

Climb out of the Popo Agie valley in almost any direction and Lander gives way fast to open bench land, flat and stripped by wind, where a fence line can hold a drift six feet deep while pavement twenty feet away sits scraped nearly bare. Precision Dirt Works spends its winter reading that difference, clearing the ranch roads and driveways on the benches above town where the wind decides, block by block, which lots need a blade and which ones don't. It's different work than plowing a sheltered street downtown, more about guessing where the snow will pile next than simply pushing what has already landed. Getting a rancher's lane open before the next drift builds, under a sky gone that hard pale blue that only shows up once a front has cleared, makes the early start worth it.
