About Block and Tackle Tree Service, LLC

The Popo Agie comes out of Sinks Canyon cold and quick, and Lander's big cottonwoods have been drinking from it as long as there has been a town on this bench. Block and Tackle Tree Service, LLC works those giants and everything smaller in the yards along the river — limbs rigged out from over a roof, a hollow trunk taken down a section at a time, the wood carried off when the job closes. Pruning and trimming keep weight off the long horizontal limbs that cottonwoods love to grow and then drop without warning. Wind funnels down out of the Wind Rivers hard in the shoulder seasons, and when it lays a crown across a fence line the work is cutting it apart, carrying it out and putting the fence back in view. What is left standing still shades the whole yard, and it no longer keeps you listening at night.
